Ekanite (エカナイト Ekanaito?) is Sulfur's mother and a high-class magician in Jewel Land. She only appear in episode 29 of Jewelpet Twinkle☆. In this episode she comes visit her son in the Magic Academy after the headmaster Moldavite send her a letter lying about how Sulfur as become a gentleman-like sucessfull teacher, a great wizard and a sword master. But she know well her own son an came to punish Moldavite by tormenting him using spells. Sulfur reaveal that his mother and the headmaster are acquaintances, that's why she sometimes call him "Mole" and knew all long his letter was only a bunch of lies.
You can clearly see the relationship between her and Sulfur—she looks almost exactly like him, same for her clothes and the fact that she's a female and Sulfur's a male. However, Ekanite understands her son's feelings very well even though Sulfur is rather clumsy and sometimes makes mistakes.
